Template. Fill in the [bracketed] parts and have this page reviewed by a lawyer before you open the app to the public. It describes what the app's code does; it is not legal advice.
This policy explains what Intraday ("the app"), run by [OPERATOR NAME, ADDRESS], stores about you and why. Contact: [EMAIL].
What the app stores
- Your broker API app details: the API key / App ID you enter, and the API secret / App Secret, which is stored encrypted on the server.
- Your daily broker login: the access token your broker gives after you log in (encrypted, used only that day), and your broker client id and name. Your client id (for example Zerodha:AB1234) identifies your account here.
- Your settings and stock lists, your backtest results and your Today scans.
- Alerts: if you turn them on, your device's push subscription, and your Telegram bot token and chat id; plus a list of the alerts sent.
- Data from your broker that the app reads with your login: prices, candles and instrument lists. It is kept in your account's cache to show the screens and run backtests.
- Server logs (time, errors, logins) for running and securing the service, kept for [N] days.
Cookies and storage on your device
idys: your sign-in session (HttpOnly, ends after 90 days without use or when you sign out).
idyp: a broker login in progress (deleted after the login, at most 15 minutes).
- Browser storage: your choices on screens (last tab, filters). No tracking.
- If advertising is turned on: Google AdSense may use cookies; see Google's policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. [Add your consent notice here if required.]
What the app does NOT do
- It never places, changes or cancels an order. You place every order on your broker's own screen.
- It does not sell your data. Your data is not shown to other users.
Who else receives data
- Your broker (Zerodha or FYERS), when the app calls its API with your login.
- Push services of your device's browser (Google, Apple, Mozilla, Microsoft) and Telegram, only for alerts you turned on.
- [Your hosting provider: NAME] stores the server.
Your choices
- Sign out at any time (More → App).
- Delete account (More → App) removes your account and all its data from the server: settings, stock lists, broker keys and logins, alerts, backtests. Backups are overwritten within [N] days.
- Questions or requests under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023: [EMAIL / GRIEVANCE OFFICER].
